    About:

I am 'young retired ', so with plenty of energy and lots of experience behind me. I have been chaplain to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for nearly 20 years, so have good knowledge of the classical music industry. More recently,  working as a cello teaching deputy with Guildhall Young Artists, Taunton, and performing piano trios with Speranza throughout Somerset and Dorset, I have further enriched my teaching and performing experience.

As a married man with adult children and lots of current responsibility with children in church and local schools, I want all students to be confident that Chard Music is a safe place to learn.

I engage in oil painting, curating and contributing to local exhibitions.

Our dog ensures we get out in the lovely countryside of the three counties within 5 miles of where we live.

    Teaching Info:

Your reasons for learning and your aspirations are important for me to learn so I can direct and support you to the next step in your cello playing.
I use my cello while teaching and seek to draw out your musicality.
