BEYOND CELLO With Shanti Jayasinha – A Brief History of Cuban Music

Shanti will go through a brief history of Cuban music to put the music we will be learning in context.

Part 1 – We will learn all of the parts to a classic Cuban song, “Castellano Que Bueno Baila Usted” and all have a go at some simple improvisation. We will build up the parts and play along to my pre-made backing tracks.
Part 2 – We will learn a lovely Cha Cha Cha called “Rico Vacilón” with bass line, harmony parts and melody, and try improvising over this too.
