Welcome to the Chichester Hub, your Southern British Cello Society home! I’m Laura Ritchie, your hub leader and I’m located at the University of Chichester. Over the coming year you can look forward to a range of opportunities to learn, share, perform, and collaborate with other cellists. Dr Laura Ritchie
Dr Laura Ritchie is Professor of Learning and Teaching at the University of Chichester, a cellist, psychologist, author, and TEDx speaker. Laura’s work spans performing, teaching, developing curricula, and innovations like SeeDegree – her holistic student assessment platform and Resonance – an app to visualise music through cymatics. Laura studied with Hans Jensen in Chicago and Steve Doane at the RCM. She teaches all ages,has led cello events in Chichester for 25 years, and founded the ‘Encore’ Chichester Community Orchestra in 2016.
